Private Residence of a Socialite

Singapore / Design-built / Residential

The house is a scene of a person's life and an extension of his or her personality. A person's attitude and habits towards life can be seen from the style, spatial layout, and even the things and plants. The luxurious residence of local entrepreneur and investor Amanda Toh-Steckler is located in a new apartment near Orchard Road. It is a design concept that connects two apartment units.

The two houses are combined into one, but it is not the traditional method of knocking down the partition to integrate the two houses. On the contrary, the two houses are separated by a hidden door at the connection point, forming an innovative pattern of two generations that are both connected and independent. One side is the living space for adults in the family, and the other side is the exclusive world for children. They are closely integrated but also form their own world, and each enjoys freedom. Amanda laughed and said that she loves to make friends. When she is not abroad, she often invites friends to dinner at home, and the children will not be disturbed.
